During the week that I have been working at Ultimate, I was shown and told about the different jobs in the company and how each of them are just as equally important to the over all product.
In this past week, I have been working in the design Studio at Ultimate, learning about the different elements of creative design.
I was given my own project by Jon Walker, which was to create and brand my own photography company. Within this project, it included taking pictures for my portfolio, design two pages for my website, branded t-shirt designs, design business cards that could be handed out the public with all my contact details on, a poster that could used if I was having a photography exhibition for some of my photos, and finally had to design the logo for my company.
The designers taught me how to use software such as; Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. Using this software, I was able to create all the tasks in my project. Once I had completed all these parts on the computer, they were printed out and binded into a booklet, so that I had something to bring home.
I really enjoyed my week at Ultimate, is was something new and it showed me what working in this type of industry was like, and because of that its something I would consider, as I would like to study photography in more depth, this has really helped with my understanding and will hopefully help me in future life.
