We were delighted to have the opportunity to work with them to deliver an engaging, memorable and different summer through to Autumn campaign.

The Challenge

Develop a creative campaign to run throughout the store, online and on print

Bents Garden and Home are renowned for their seasonal activity throughout the store, their loyal cliental look forward to seeing the transformation of the products and displays making an appointment to visit and explore the store.

Our brief was to develop a creative branding campaign which would run throughout the store, online and on print. The campaign had to have flexibility to promote their multiple products and zones throughout the store which are made up of;

  • Home
  • Garden
  • Life
  • Food

2017 is a landmark year for the family owned business who pride themselves on their passion, experience and understanding of exclusive living. 2017 sees them celebrating their 80th year with more to come in the future. Over the next few years it will be working towards the final stage in its journey; a fantastic new entrance, providing a new focal point with more retail, leisure and educational space.

The Strategy

Every project of this nature begins with a workshop to really establish the brief from the client. At the workshop we talked about how the buyers at Bents envisaged the summer season, the product range, the colours and the instore theme.

We gave two designers the same brief. Anya developed a campaign true to the brief, using their suggested colour palette, theme style and tone. Scott took a different route, opting to use  bold colours and lead images. We were very excited to present both concepts back to the client, would they fall in love with Anya’s creative which was very much in line with their brief and their vision in-store for summer, or look at Scott’s interpretation and go down a very different road.

The vote was unaminous from the marketing and buying team, they loved Scott’s bold campaign and ‘Summer Moments’ will mark the start of what we all hope is going to a season of warm weather with long fun filled days.
