Senior Account Manager / Account Manager

Department: Client Services / Account Management
Reporting to: Account Director
Location: Remote, with head office in Manchester city centre and a satellite office in Knutsford.
Salary: Starting at £30,000+ plus bonus plus benefits

We’re looking for an organised, motivated and enthusiastic Senior Account Manager / Account Manager to join our team, you will become a part of a highly motivated, energetic and forward-thinking agency. You will thrive in a varied and exciting role working across all aspects of Brand, Design and Digital projects. You will work with a fantastic variety of clients ranging from market leading household names to smaller niche organisations.

You will report to the Account Director and become an integral part of the Client Services team. You will need to have at least three years’ experience working with an integrated marketing agency and have a successful record working with a wide range of clients. You will need to be highly motivated, an effective communicator, and have the ability to establish and build relationships with clients.

As part of the role you work closely with both of our in-house design and development teams. We want you to be inspired by the latest technologies, motivated by cutting edge design and be really motivated by a challenge!

Your role:

As a Senior Account Manager / Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to be a leading part of the client services team working on a variety of projects, across numerous clients. You’ll drive projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time and to budget, as well as have the opportunity to contribute ideas and impact the overall marketing approach. You’ll work closely with our Account Directors to develop and deliver results-orientated projects – from creative branding through to website builds and everything in between.

 

What you’ll be doing:

– Management of several existing clients in B2C and B2B sectors.

– Liaising with clients to understand their marketing needs and presenting relevant solutions.

– Management of campaigns from brief to execution. These will include both digital and traditional creative projects

– Providing quality briefs to the in-house creative and digital teams and overseeing the completion of work.

– Assisting with new business pitches, writing proposals and agreeing supplier quotations.

– Managing monthly sales forecasts, administration of own purchase orders and invoices.

– Attending weekly, monthly and quarterly progress calls with clients

– Contributing to marketing strategies

– Driving project delivery

– Deconstructing and developing briefs

– Building strong relationships with clients at various levels

– Understanding and responding to client’s business – the brand, the communication strategy and competitive environment

– Developing good relationships with clients and making sure we deliver the services they need

– Building strong relationships with an inhouse team of developers, designers and creatives to develop insightful, unique and effective creative ideas and digital solutions

You’ll have the chance to thrive in a varied, exciting role, which spans all aspects of digital development, with the opportunity to support a huge diversity of clients – from market-leading household names to smaller niche organisations.

In this role you’d be working closely with the digital development team, as well as reporting to our Head of Development. Your role would encompass developing diverse, digital projects from concept to completion, as well as supporting your wider team on more complex projects. This role would ideally suit an individual who can think both logically and creatively, in order to produce high-quality work that stands the test of time.

As well as working with your own team, you’d be collaborating with our in-house Design and Account Management teams, to foster our ethos of mutual support and learning. If you’re inspired by the latest technologies and a challenge sparks your interest, this role will be perfect for you.

As a Full Stack Developer, day-to-day duties of this role typically include: 

  • Creating logical, but cutting-edge solutions for a varied range of client briefs, and delivering world-class digital websites (take a look at some of the websites we’ve built here!)
  • Assisting your colleagues, both in Development and wider teams, with client pitches, where you’ll help by solving client requirements with digital solutions
  • Being involved with internal and external meetings, sharing ideas, solutions and concepts with clients and co-workers alike
  • Collaborating with our in-house Design team to combine your digital skills with creative designs and formats, to produce original, unique websites with excellent functionality
  • See development as a hobby rather than a job and show a keen interest in (and awareness of) developments and advances in digital industries which touch upon your work

It’s important to us that our candidates are able to thrive in this role. So, if you’d like to be considered for this Full Stack Developer vacancy, ideally you’ll already have the following experience knowledge, skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience of working within an agency, or an inhouse team. With a history or portfolio of work that demonstrates your knowledge and understanding of WordPress and Laravel development
  • Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, WordPress is essential, and bonus points for working knowledge of Laravel & version control (Git)
  • We build WordPress sites from the ground up. You will need to have the ability and understanding to be able to plan and build your own custom post types, flexible template components and bespoke WordPress plug-ins. A good knowledge of utilising WordPress’ hooks, actions and filters is a must.
  • With our projects, we ae often digitising business processes. Which often includes integrating 3rd party systems into our website builds. You will have a proven experience of working with APIs and integrating with other digital platforms.
  • As an Agency we are often working to tight deadlines so you will need to possess great time management skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills are key, and we’d love it if you had proofreading and English language skills to help with your work, as well as having an eye for detail
  • Most importantly, you’ll have a real enthusiasm and passion for digital development and a commitment to delivering outstanding results for clients!
