Studio Manager

The Role:

As a Studio Manager you will play a pivotal part in the day to day running of the Agency. You shall take a hands-on approach to managing projects within the business. You will be the central contact point for all projects that flow through the agency on a day to day basis.

Once a job has been created in the agency management system, you will develop a scheduled timeline liaising with the Account Managers. You will then coordinate the schedules of both the Creative and Web Development teams to achieve the project deadlines set by our clients.

As the StudioManager, you will monitor the resource requirements and alert management of any outside/freelance staffing requirements in a timely fashion. You will make sure that all work will be completed within the scheduled deadlines. As needed, the StudioManagerwill work with Account Managers to adjust job deadlines as needed while still meeting the Client’s needs.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of agency experience in a similar role.

Daily

  • Holding WIP Catch Up Meetings (either Dept or Company)
  • Managing and adjusting production schedule for Teams
  • Reporting on project Status, Workload and Accounts
  • Holding regular production meetings and status updates
  • Ensuring the stages of the project are met according to client and creative brief, budget, resource and deadline deliverables
  • Working across multiple projects and ensuring all parties are informed of progress and problems are informed to relevant parties quickly
  • Monitoring current traffic processes and inputting ideas on how to improve current practices where required
  • Building effective relationships with key departments, clients and staff
  • Work with freelancers and temporary contractors, getting them up to speed on jobs they will assist with.

Other Responsibilities

  • Staff holiday management
  • Monitor and Improve productivity and efficiency within Ultimate especially focusing on utilization at a depart and individual staff level
  • Report to management about the current workflow, communicate any possible issues with too much, or too little, work coming into the agency.

Longer Term Goals

  • Implementation of a digital system to improve workflow and reporting either by project, individual or department
  • Continually review and improve company process and procedures

PHP Developer

We’re looking for an experienced web developer to join our energetic team, becoming a key part of a highly motivated and energetic agency. You will thrive in a varied and exciting role working across all aspects of digital development, supporting clients ranging from market leading household names to smaller niche organisations.

You will report to the Lead Developer and become an integral part of the digital development team. You’ll be responsible for developing a selection of diverse digital projects from concept to completion, whilst also supporting senior developers on more complex projects. You will need to think logically and really want to get under the skin of a project to produce the very best outcomes.

As part of the role you work closely with both of our, in-house design and account management teams. We want you to be inspired by the latest technologies and really be motivated by a challenge!

As a PHP Web Developer your duties will include although not be limited to;

  • Identifying logical and cutting edge solutions for a varied range of client briefs in order to deliver world class digital websites
  • Assisting colleagues with client pitches, applying practical digital solutions to client requirements
  • Attending internal and external meetings
  • Collaborating with in house design team to create the best possible project outcomes
  • Working directly with clients, either on site or at client premises
  • Maintaining up-to-date awareness of developments and advances in digital industries
  • Contributing to the progression, adaptability and success of the business

To be considered for this PHP Web Developer vacancy, you will have the following experience knowledge, skills and attributes;

  • Proven experience gained within an agency, with a portfolio of work to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of website development
  • Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, WordPress, Laravel (ideally) & GIT
  • Real enthusiasm and passion for digital development and already delivering outstanding results for clients
  • Strong proof reading and English language skills with incredible attention to detail
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt according to priorities
