Having spent the past 6 years at design agencies in both city centre Manchester and the coastal town of Pembroke, West Wales it is safe to say that Ultimate is a perfect combination of the two. At Ultimate, we have the benefit of the stunning surroundings around Cheshire, as well as a client list that would make a city centre agency jealous.
I have worked here for a month now and I can honestly say I have never been made to feel so welcome in a new workplace by so many people. The atmosphere and mix of lovely people make coming into work a pleasure. Not to mention the ice cream – my first week ended with a lunchtime excursion to the ice cream farm – the Ginger Cake flavour is delicious!
Enjoying the company of people you work with is one thing, but as a designer it is all about being able to explore your creativity with no bounds. In just one month I have worked on projects for a wide range of clients and applications including digital design, branding, infographics and brochure design. It is refreshing to have a group of friendly and talented designers with an equal passion to bounce ideas off on a daily basis. One of the great things about Ultimate is that I am given the time to complete thorough research and explore all creative avenues for each project. In the short time I have been here I have taken part in important client meetings to get to know the client in more detail, in order to produce work that meets their needs and is specifically suited to them.
I am proud to say I work at a company who are passionate and proud of their work and would love to be part of the team when Ultimate win their first D&AD Pencil! (No pressure!).
